Time Table Changes - 19 July 2010

A new Blue Mountains bus timetables will come into effect on 19 July 2010.

The changes will have the following improvements:

Timetables will be available online, from bus drivers and from Blue Mountains Bus Company depots soon.

Notice to All Passengers

MyZone Ticketing available from April 18.

MyZone will make travelling on public and private buses easier.

For the first time, users of both public and private buses can use one ticket - either a MyBus Single or MyBus TravelTen.

The MyBus TravelTen ticket will be validated on board by the driver on private buses.

In areas serviced by private buses, commuters will be able to buy MyBus TravelTen tickets from retailers displaying the MyZone or PrePay signage.

On all buses, you will still have the option of buying a cash ticket on-board - as you do now (excludes PrePay services).

2010 - Serviced Timetable Improvements

After consultation from the community and feedback from surveys Blue Mountains Bus Company and NSW Transport and Infrastructure have developed improved new timetables to reflect the community needs and requests.

These changes will take effect on 18 January 2010.

Some of the changes include:

        •        New weekday and Saturday service route to Yellow Rock

        •        Improved weekend services to North Hazelbrook

        •        Increased services to local Hospitals

        •        Improved services to Emu Plains shopping

        •        Easier to understand service route numbering

The new timetable will be available from bus drivers, the local depots and on this website or www.131500.com.au prior to the implementation date.

2010 - School Bus Services

All school bus services will be advertised in the Blue Mountains Gazette and Penrith Press prior to the beginning of the 2010 year. Details will also be available on the website at www.bmbc.com.au.

There is not any significant changes anticipated to the school bus network in 2010 however there could be some number changes as a result of changes to the regular network and student transport needs. Any changes after schools return will be in consultation with schools and effectively communicated to students.
